The wolf was Faun, the God of creatures', favorite brother who was given by the All-Creator, protected by Xai, and aided by Mah-vet. The night goddess Ilta, also loved her little brother and gave him the moon. He was cherished and protected.
Now, in the time of the gods it was a sin to hunt the wolf. It was a fellow hunter, and it was entitled to respect and considered almost equal to mankind.
